About
the presentation
Competency? Beyond the PMP to Professionalism
What
is competency? How do we measure it? Is project management a profession? Are
we at risk of becoming irrelevant? This presentation examines these questions
as well as current trends on developing competency. It presents bold ideas on
what we as practitioners must focus on to raise the performance bar and avoid
the risk of becoming extinct!
Many employers are painfully aware that the PMP certification only guarantees
a base level of understanding of project management and some level of experience;
this does not equate to competency. This presentation explores three critical
personal competencies project managers must keenly be aware of to move beyond
the PMP to Project Management Professionalism! These personal competencies must
be built on the PMP certification to achieve project management competency.
Attendees will learn how to create the right balance of personal competencies. They will leave with a renewed passion for their project management profession. Attend this presentation to learn if you have the courage to make the leap from the PMP to Project Management Professionalism!
